Rosedew Farm : Maria & David : Llantwit Major

Maria and David's wedding ceremony and reception took place at Rosedew Farm situated in Llantwit Major, near Cardiff, South Wales.

Maria's bridal preparations were held at one of the adjacent cottages at Rosedew, while David and his groomsmen got ready for the informal wedding at a nearby log cabin.

We were blessed with great weather for the whole day which enabled us to venture into the surrounding fields for a selection of sunlit 'wedding landscape' images.

The evening entertainment was provided by 'Session' a fantastic wedding and event band from Cardiff.

Nash Point Lighthouse Wedding | Lisa & Carl

Lisa and Carl travelled from Sussex for their intimate wedding at Nash Point Lighthouse in Monknash near Cardiff.

The Lighthouse at Nash Point is an iconic 19th century, grade 2 listed, historic building and is the only functioning lighthouse in the UK that is licensed to offer wedding ceremonies. It is a major part of our countries social and maritime history and was the last manned lighthouse in Wales.

Although the morning was bathed in beautiful sunshine the weather gods soon turned against us with coastal drizzle and mist being present for most of the afternoon.

Following the wedding ceremony we managed to take advantage of a break in the weather and strolled down to Monknash beach, accompanied by Edison - Lisa and Carl's beautiful English sheepdog.

Helen & Darren : The Pickled Radish Bridgend

Wedding at Bridgend Registry Office and the Pickled Radish : Helen & Darren

Helen and Darren were married at Bridgend Registry Office in late January 2016. Their informal wedding reception followed at the Pickled Radish in Laleston on the outskirts of Bridgend.

In between the ceremony and reception we ventured to Newbridge Fields for a quirky post ceremony photo shoot which incorporated off camera flash and a graffiti backdrop.

The wedding day concluded with fine dining, dancing and sparklers !

Kate & Rhodri : Morgan's Hotel Swansea

A New Years Eve wedding at Morgan's Hotel, Swansea - Kate & Rhodri

Morgans Hotel Swansea

Kate and Rhodri were married at the wonderful Morgan's Hotel in Swansea, South Wales on New Years Eve, 2015.

As expected the weather was pretty poor with chilly temperatures and torrential rain being on offer for most of the day. We did manage to get outside later in the day for a few cityscape wedding photos though - making the most of about 15 minutes of fading light around the streets of Swansea.

The whole day (from bridal preparations to evening reception) was held at Morgan's Hotel. I'd thoroughly recommend Morgan's if you are seeking a city centre wedding venue in the South Wales area. This luxurious boutique style hotel is located in the centre of Swansea and has recently won a 'Best Large Independent Hotel' award.

TiPi Wedding South Wales : Ellen & Alex

Ellen and Alex - a tipi wedding in Bridgend, South Wales.

It was a nice change to cover a local wedding in September 2015. Although I'm located in Bridgend I usually cover weddings further afield.

Ellen and Alex held their intimate wedding ceremony at Bridgend Registry Office prior to being greeted by 150 guests in a field adjacent to Ogmore Castle where a giant Nordic kata tipi had been erected to hold their wedding reception.

The newlyweds partied and feasted on pizza long into the early hours.
